GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF
NPC NATURAL REGIONAL & NATURAL PRO QUALIFIER
COMPETITIONS IN POLAND

1. NPC WORLDWIDE NATURAL REGIONAL QUALIFIER competitions and NPC NATURAL PRO QUALIFIER competitions are intended ONLY for athletes who have never in their life (deliberately or inadvertently) used substances or methods prohibited in NPC Natural competitions, which are listed in: SUBSTANCES & METHODS PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES

2. Athletes participating in NPC WORLDWIDE NATURAL competitions should also not have used in the past or currently be using hormonal agents listed in SUBSTANCES & METHODS PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES even if they are taking them due to illness (chronic or incidental), under the supervision of a doctor and in accordance with their recommendations.
▪ Therefore, persons undergoing “Hormone Replacement Therapy” (HRT) or “Testosterone Replacement Therapy” (TRT) may not participate in NPC Natural competitions.
▪︎ The only exceptions to this rule may be individuals with chronic thyroid disorders or chronic pancreatic disorders, i.e. taking thyroid hormones or insulin under the supervision of a specialist doctor and having full medical documentation of their illness.
▪︎ Each such case MUST be reported even before proceeding with online registration for the competition and REQUIRES OBTAINING written consent issued by the NPC Poland competition office.
▪︎ If an athlete has ever taken any hormonal medications or substances, medications or substances affecting hormonal balance or other substances, about which there is no 100% certainty that they are permitted for use before and during NPC Worldwide natural bodybuilding competitions (e.g. has ever used or is using: ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, peptides, prohormones, DHEA, diuretics, strongly stimulating substances/mixtures, fat burning preparations, psychotropic medications, hormonal medications, etc.), they are OBLIGATED to notify the competition office (by sending two messages to: [email protected] and WhatsApp +48 602 650 291) even before starting online registration for the competition. Such an athlete, after written notification of this fact, may obtain written confirmation from the competition office that the medication or substance used by them in the past or currently is not prohibited for use before or during NPC Worldwide natural bodybuilding competitions or may be conditionally permitted for health reasons (medical considerations, treatment of chronic disease).

3. All participants of NPC WORLDWIDE NATURAL competitions are subject to a mandatory testing program regarding the use of PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES before and during NPC Natural competitions.

4. All athletes participating in NPC Natural competitions may be subjected to a polygraph test and/or urine sample testing by a committee performing such tests (NPC Testing Agency) at the request and under the control of the NPC Worldwide federation. This does not mean that all athletes must undergo a polygraph test and/or urine sample collection and testing before, during or after the competition.

5. Polygraph tests and urine sample testing and their results are ordered and strictly controlled by the NPC Worldwide federation authorities. In this regard, only the committee performing the tests (NPC Testing Agency) and the NPC Worldwide federation office have access to the test results. The organizer of the NPC Natural competition does not have direct access to the test results during the competition, is not informed about their outcome during the competition, and does not interfere with their procedure and results. Therefore, the competition organizer does not inform athletes subjected to tests/examinations and their coaches about the test/examination results. The exclusive right to provide information regarding the manner of conducting tests, their procedure, and test results belongs to the NPC Worldwide federation office.

6. The following division winners are subject to mandatory polygraph testing:
▪︎ Men’s Physique Open Overall
▪︎ Men’s Classic Physique Open Overall
▪︎ Men’s Bodybuilding Open Overall
▪︎ Women’s Fit Model Open Overall
▪︎ Women’s Bikini Open Overall
▪︎ Women’s Wellness Open Class
▪︎ Women’s Figure Open Class
▪︎ Women’s Physique Open Class
▪︎ Women’s Fitness Open Class

7. The following may also be subject to polygraph testing and/or urine sample testing:
▪ athletes selected or drawn by the testing committee (NPC Testing Agency)
▪ athletes indicated by the Head Judge of the competition
▪ athletes selected or drawn during registration and athlete check-in.

8. Athletes are informed personally by a specially appointed person from the competition office staff (NPC judge) or/and a representative of the testing committee (NPC Testing Agency) that they have been selected for testing/examination.

9. Each online registered athlete (entered in the NPC Natural competition) is required to sign a consent form during check-in on Friday, obligating them to undergo a polygraph test and urine sample testing at the place and time indicated to the athlete by the competition organizer or the testing committee (NPC Testing Agency).

10. Polygraph tests and urine sample collections may be conducted from Friday from 11:00 AM (start of check-in), until Sunday until 9:00 PM (end of the competition).

11. Failure to undergo (regardless of reason) a polygraph test and/or urine sample testing at the time and place indicated to the athlete by the competition organizer or/and the testing committee (NPC Testing Agency), is equivalent to a determination that the athlete is using a prohibited substance or method during the NPC Natural competition. As a result, such an athlete will be subject to all sanctions and penalties provided for in the “NPC Worldwide Natural Contest Rules” regulations and additional penalties provided for in the NPC Natural competition rules in Poland.

12. Sanctions and penalties for athletes, for whom the testing committee (NPC Testing Agency) has determined the use of prohibited substances or methods in NPC Natural competitions (before or during the competition), which are on the list of SUBSTANCES & METHODS PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES , and for athletes who have not undergone mandatory testing/examination after being selected for testing/examination:
▪ Suspension of the athlete from competing in all types of NPC Worldwide federation competitions in Poland and worldwide (both in „tested” and „no testing” anti-doping competitions) for a period of two years suspension to lifetime suspension. The final decision on the extent of this penalty is made by the authorities and office of the NPC Worldwide federation in the USA.
▪ Publication of the test result and athlete’s data on the competition website, the global federation website, and social media of the competition. The final decision on the extent of this penalty is made by the authorities and office of the NPC Worldwide federation in the USA.
▪ The athlete will cover the full costs of the polygraph tests (1,500 PLN) and/or urine sample testing (1,800 PLN). The final decision on the application of this penalty is made by the organizer of the NPC Worldwide Natural competition in Poland.

13. Registration fees and additional services prices:
▪ Entry categories/classes,
▪ NPC Worldwide Membership License,
▪ Coach Zone Passes (backstage) and spectator tickets for athlete’s companions,
▪ ProTan Spray Tanning Service,
▪ High-Quality photos and videos from the competition stage (Multimedia Photo & Video Package),

Will be listed in the registration form for the selected competition on its subsequent sub-pages.

There are three payment methods available for entry fees and additional services:
▪ cash payment during check-in in PLN or EURO,
▪ PayPal payment,
▪ traditional bank transfer.

14. Definitions and criteria for participation in the main categories of NPC Natural competitions:

▪ True Novice Natural (Natural Debut) – Category for athletes competing for the first time in NPC Worldwide competitions. Athletes who have previously competed in competitions of other federations or competitions not affiliated with any federation or may compete in the True Novice Natural main category. Height or weight classes may be held in each of the 9 divisions if the number of registered athletes is sufficiently large.

▪ Beginner Natural (Natural Debut) – Category for athletes competing for the first, second or at most third time in NPC Worldwide competitions. Previous starts in competitions of other federations are not taken into account as a limiting criterion for participation in this category. Height or weight classes may be held in each of the 9 divisions if the number of registered athletes is sufficiently large.

▪ Novice Natural  (Natural Debut) – Category for athletes competing for the first time in NPC Worldwide competitions and for any athlete who in the current calendar year (not in previous years) has not won the Overall category in Novice Natural, Master Natural  or Open Natural main categories and has not won a height or weight category in the Open Natural main category with at least 3 athletes competing. Results of competitions (athlete’s wins in NPC competitions) from previous years are not taken into account as a limiting criterion for participation in the Novice main category in the current calendar year. Height or weight classes may be held in each of the 9 divisions if the number of registered athletes is sufficiently large.

▪ Teenager Natural (18 – 20 years old) – Category for athletes aged 18 and 19 years. Athletes who are 18 years old (no later than on the day of the competition) and have not yet celebrated their 20th birthday on the day of the competition may participate.

▪ Junior Natural (18 – 24 years old) – Category for athletes aged 18 to 23 years. According to the rules, the athlete must be at least 18 years old on the day of the competition and not yet 24 years old.

▪ Master Natural – Category for athletes who start the age of 35 in this calendar year (turn 34). The year of birth is taken into account, not the exact date of birth (the year in which the athlete starts or has started a given age). Other age categories may also be held in addition to the basic Master +35 category, i.e.: +40 years, +45 years, +50 years if there is a sufficiently large number of registered athletes (minimum 3 athletes in a given age range / age category).

▪ Open Natural Regional (Regional) – This category is for all athletes (minimum 18 years old) regardless of competition experience and previous achievements. Height or weight classes may be held in each of the 9 divisions if the number of registered athletes is sufficiently large (minimum 5 athletes in a height or weight category). Participation in the Open Natural Regional (Regional) category gives the right to compete in any foreign NPC Worldwide Natural competitions and in NPC Natural Pro Qualifier competitions in Poland and worldwide until the end of the current calendar year.

▪ Open Natural Pro Qualifier (the only category with IFBB PRO cards) – Category for all athletes (minimum 18 years old) regardless of competition experience and achievements. Height or weight classes may be held in each of the 9 divisions if the number of registered athletes is sufficiently large. Open Pro Qualifier (Open PQ) is the only main category in each of the 9 divisions where athletes compete for one of the 9 IFBB PRO League cards. The IFBB PRO card is awarded directly to the winner of the Overall or Open category in each of the 9 divisions, in which at least 5 athletes compete. If there are less than 5 athletes in a division, the athlete has the right to apply for an IFBB PRO card by emailing the NPC Worldwide federation office.

15. Division, main categories, and height/weight/age classes for NPC Natural competitions (planned categories):

● Men’s Bodybuilding
Main categories:
Teenager, Junior, Master, True Novice, Beginner, Novice, Open.
Weight classes:
up to 70kg, up to 75kg, up to 80kg, up to 90kg, over 90kg.

● Men’s Classic Physique
Main categories:
Teenager, Junior, Master, True Novice, Beginner, Novice, Open.
Height classes:
A) up to 170.2 cm,
B) up to 177.8 cm,
C) up to 182.9 cm,
D) over 182.9 cm

16. In order for a given height, weight, or age classes to be held within a main category, a minimum of 5 athletes must be registered (for age class, the minimum is 3 athletes). In accordance with the NPC Worldwide federation rules, if fewer athletes are registered for a height, weight, or age class, such a class may be merged with a higher/heavier/age-proximate class or held as an open class, i.e., the main category without further division into height/weight/age classes( open class). The final decision on the division into height/weight/age classes is made by the head of the competition office after the check-in of all athletes. The main categories: Junior, Master, True Novice, Beginner, Novice, Open are always held regardless of the number of registered athletes.

17. Online registrations for the NPC NATURAL REGIONAL QUALIFIER and NPC NATURAL PRO QUALIFIER competitions will be available on this website from April 5, until Tuesday at 8:00 PM in the week of the competition.

▪︎ Athletes will be checked-in by the competition office staff according to the above schedule for each division. Persons who arrive earlier will have to wait until we have checked-in all athletes who came during the designated hours for their divisions.
▪︎ If an athlete cannot appear for check-in at the designated hours for their division (transport problems, work, school, etc.), they should come at a later time (not earlier!). This may involve a longer wait for their check-in.
▪︎ If an athlete competes in two divisions simultaneously, they will be checked-in together for both divisions during the hours designated for one of them. The choice of check-in time is then up to the athlete.
▪︎ Athletes who did not register online by Tuesday in the week of the competition by 20:00 will be processed only after check-in of all online registered athletes is completed.
▪︎ Entry fees for athletes not registered online are 20% higher than for those registered online, i.e. from standard fees.
